First time running a reverse auction for plant machinery. Should we use a third-party platform or manage in-house? What spec compliance checks do you build in?

Run a mock auction with internal stakeholders so commercial and technical teams stay aligned live.

Freeze drawings and acceptance criteria 2 weeks prior. Mid-auction changes destroy credibility.

Use a third-party platform for the first capex auction. Spec compliance must be verified before vendors enter the bidding room.
