Our primary 3PL is citing diesel price increases and asking for a 14% rate hike six months into a 2-year contract. We have an escalation clause but they claim force majeure. What is the right approach?

Invite both relationship managers, separate force majeure from surcharge mechanics, and offer a shorter residual term if needed.
